Passenger seat
shown here. Under the front seats are yellow airbag plugs, these have red slide locks. Slide the red lock to unplug. Unplugging the seat airbag module will provide extra protection against deployment. Disconnect the Battery Cables for your safety. Wait 10 minutes for capacitors to discharge. |

Open the back of
the seat. Some cars have trays, some have zippers. |

Peel up the Velcro
and remove the three hog-rings from the front to remove the old upholstery. |

Slide the old
"Gate" off of the airbag module. Take care to support the airbag module, it is connected to the seat by its electrical cables.

"Gate" onto the airbag module. The new "Gate" is pre-punched for the two bolts and off center pin. |

Replace the airbag
module in its bracket. The off center pin will ensure the module is in its proper "UP" position. Install the two 10 millimeter nuts, and the airbag module cover. Continue installing the new leather as usual.

After completely installing the new upholstery, and you are completely finished working on the seats, reconnect the seat airbag plugs under the seats, be sure to slide the red locks back into locked position. Reconnect the battery cables. Start the car, the airbag light on the instrument panel will go off after the car's computer checks the airbag circuits for any faults. |
