WELTS
 
 Included with your MrMikes PT Cruiser Leather Kit is
 "Extruded Welt". This  is a continuous plastic product used to fill in gaps, trim around door panels, sunroof openings, etc.

Dash Center

Glue is not necessary, the welt just stuffs into the cracks, we call this a “friction fit”.

Place the seams where the
yellow arrows indicate.


 

Dash Instruments

Tilt down the steering column
to hide the seam.

Dash Airbag

Place the seam in the
inboard curve for the best look.

Front Doors

Glue is not necessary, the welt just stuffs between the steel and the plastic door panel, we call this a “friction fit”.

Do this with the door panel
fully attached to the car,
no disassembly required.

At the ends the welt dives under
the trim at the tops.
