 2. Spray glue the inside edge of the faceplate.

 3. Remove the newspaper, position the faceplate.
 4. Press the faceplate on.
 * Leave a finger width gap at the bottom (Red arrows)
for the headrest upholstery Listing Strip.
 5. Spray glue the depression between the seat and faceplate.
 * Glue past the faceplate depression down onto the bolster a few inches.
 6. Duct Tape the depression, locking the faceplate to the seat.
 * Start the tape down onto the bolster a few inches (Red arrow)

 7. Continue the tape up & over the top and down onto the bolster a few inches (Red arrow)

 8. Tear a strip from the included cotton padding,
about 2 feet long and 5 inches wide.
 9. “Crown” the top of the seat with cotton.

* No need for more glue, it will stay there.
 10. “Feather” the EDGES.
    * Do not remove cotton from the middle of the strip.
 11. Feather the edges; front - back - and the ends down onto the bolsters.
 12. You are now ready to slide the new upholstery over the headrest.

  * This fluff of cotton padding will eliminate the uneven top
     of the Miata seat.

  * The spray glue & duct tape will make sure the faceplate
     stays in place.
